Greenpeace Award

ASFII is proud to be recognized as the #1 Tuna Cannery in the Philippines and #3 in Southeast Asia. We gained the distinction of being the only tuna cannery in the Philippines to achieve a GREEN RATING in Greenpeace International’s Southeast Asia Canned Tuna Ranking in 2020. This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to sustainability and responsible practices in the fishing and canning industry. We actively advocate for environmental stewardship, ensuring our operations contribute to positive change. By adhering to sustainable fishing methods and fostering transparency, we aim to set a benchmark for corporate responsibility in the region.

Coastal Cleanup

In line with our advocacy for protecting marine ecosystems, ASFII employees proudly participated in the International Coastal Cleanup 2021, the world’s largest volunteer effort to combat marine pollution. Guided by the “Ako Mismo” attitude, our team joined thousands worldwide in preserving the health of our oceans and raising awareness about the impact of pollution. Initiatives like these demonstrate our dedication to creating a cleaner, more sustainable future for generations to come.

Scholarship Programs

Through the Bay of Gold Scholarship Program, we promote the protection of tuna populations while empowering the next generation. This program offers full scholarships to qualified students pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and the Bachelor of Science in Fisheries at Mindanao State University – General Santos. By supporting education in marine and fisheries sciences, we aim to nurture future leaders who will champion sustainable practices in General Santos City and beyond, preserving marine resources for a brighter future.

Feeding Programs

Giving back is at the heart of what we do. Through outreach programs like feeding initiatives and other advocacy-driven events, we strive to support those in need and foster meaningful change in the communities we serve. These efforts reflect our mission to create a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
